Clerk of Court, David Dart is currently looking for dedicated East Feliciana parish residents to serve as commissioners on election days.

- If qualified, you may be selected to serve in a precinct other than the precinct in which you are registered to vote.
Commissioner Qualifications
COMMISSIONERS ARE PAID $200.00 PER ELECTION IF SELECTED TO SERVE.
In accordance R. S. 18:424 and R. S. 18:425, you must have the following qualifications to serve as a commissioner:
- Be a qualified voter or a 17-year-old in 12th grade, who does not need assistance, and is who is able perform essential duties (as outlined in the required training/training materials).
- Not be a candidate for election to public office or an immediate family member, spouse of immediate family member, or parents of the spouse of a candidate for election to public office in the precinct in which to serve.
- Be registered to vote in the precinct of the ward or precinct of the parish serving (unless replacements are necessary).
- Must not have been convicted of an election offense and/or be a registered sex offender/child predator.
- Must not be a law enforcement officer.
- Must attend a course of instruction for commissioners and receive a certificate of instruction for such attendance within the primary election in which you will serve.
Commissioner-in-Charge Qualifications
COMMISSIONERS-IN-CHARGE ARE PAID $250.00 PER ELECTION IF SELECTED TO SERVE.
In accordance with R. S. 18:424 and 18:425, you must have the following qualifications to serve as a Commissioner-in-Charge:
- Be a qualified voter in the parish, who does not need assistance, and is able to perform essential duties (as outlined in the required training/training materials).
- Not be a candidate for election to public office or an immediate family member, spouse of immediate family member, or parents of the spouse of a candidate for election to public office in the precinct in which to serve.
- Must not have been convicted of an election offense and/or be a registered sex offender/child predator.
- Must have served as a Commissioner in at least two elections in the last four years.
- Must not be a law enforcement officer.
- Must attend a course of instruction for commissioners and receive a certificate of instruction for such attendance within the primary election in which you will serve.
